Grateful to be back with the fourth edition of the large-scale wall calendar in support of BIPOC Design students at George Brown College.
BIPOC students are disproportionately impacted by social, economic, and health disparities resulting from discrimination and racism. In a commitment to equity and inclusion, this limited run calendar set was established to help fund emergency aid for BIPOC students with the goal to lessen financial hardship and to ensure students are able to stay registered and engaged in their studies.
This project continues to be inspired by the relentless and resilient community of students that I am so fortunate to work alongside.
In 2024, I'm renewing my commitment to leaving no student behind, and I thank you for joining me in these efforts.
Ana Rita Morais lives and works on the traditional territory of many nations including the Mazina'iga-ziibing Misi-zaagiwininiwag (Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation), the ᐊᓂᔑᓈᐯᒃ (Anishnaabeg), the ᐅᒋᑉᐧᐁ (ᒋᑉᐯᐧᐊ) (Chippewa), the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples.
